THE ACADEMY — WORKSHOPS

Learning that plays like a game.

Workshops are our education arm. We run gamification training, school programmes and immersive escape experiences that turn dry content into missions people actually finish.

THE ENGAGEMENT GAP

Slides don't hold a room.

Low retention in training. Passive faces in the meeting. Bored students, and customers who drift. Most sessions lose people early — and telling them to pay attention has never once worked.

  1. GAP-01 Low retention in training and learning
  2. GAP-02 Passive participation in meetings and events
  3. GAP-03 Boredom and low motivation in the room
  4. GAP-04 Customer and visitor loyalty that keeps slipping

THE CONCEPT

Not a game. The psychology of one.

Gamification takes the parts of play that make us lean in — points, a clear goal, a bit of competition, the pull of the next level — and puts them where the work is. You're not building a video game. You're borrowing why games work.

“We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”
— George Bernard Shaw

THE MAIN QUEST — GAMECRAFT

GameCraft: an intro to gamification.

A hands-on workshop. You play an escape game, take it apart to see why it grips people, then build a gamified solution for your own classroom, team or campaign — and walk out with a prototype you can use on Monday.

Loot — what you take away

01

Learn by playing

Experience a real escape game and feel, first-hand, how game mechanics drive focus and engagement.

02

Hands-on practice

Design a simple game during the workshop on our gamification platform, MazeFox.

03

Practical frameworks

Work with Flow Theory, the MDA Framework and the Octalysis model — the tools designers actually use.

04

Your own prototype

Leave with a ready-to-apply game concept built around your content, not a generic template.

Inventory — what's included

  • A full escape game experience
  • Networking AMA with the trainer — a game designer with 10+ years in the field
  • Guided design challenge on our gamification platform
  • Demos of gamification tools, digital and low-tech
  • A digital certificate of completion for every participant
  • Your own game concept — a ready-to-apply prototype

THE SKILL TREE — THREE FRAMEWORKS

Three frameworks, applied.

LVL-01

Flow

Flow Theory — matching challenge to skill so people stay in the zone, not bored or overwhelmed.

Challenge ↑ against skill → — the band is the zone

LVL-02

MDA

The MDA Framework — mechanics, dynamics, aesthetics: how the rules become how it feels.

Mechanics → dynamics → aesthetics

LVL-03

Octalysis

The Octalysis model — the eight core drives behind why anyone keeps playing.

Eight core drives around one player

THE SCHOOLS PROGRAMME

We've done this in the hall and the classroom.

We've brought escape games into secondary schools and run Bearscape — our portable escape board game — for whole cohorts. It's team building that quietly teaches communication, problem-solving and leadership, and it scales: offsite runs have no group cap.

We also built Singapore's first school-based escape room, at Spectra Secondary — read The Straits Times →
